Come experience my Thanksgiving dinner. Here is what we enjoyed:
A beautiful organic turkey, stuffed with apples and whole garlic cloves. Creamy mashed cauliflower, steamed kale with toasted pumpkin seeds, wild rice with sauteed leeks and butternut squash filled the whole house with an enticing, wholesome autumn fragrance. Fresh baked bread and corn bread pudding rounded things out with two fruit pies for dessert! We ate forever, and laughed! Boy did we laugh! The food was so wholsome and the aromas where so deep and rich, that it touched each of us with such a relaxing melody! Melvin carved, and then it was time to bring all of our lives together to the table to share in the feast, just like the pilgrims and the indians. (Except we had indoor plumbing). My 10 year lod daughter asked us to take a moment and speak about what we are most thankful for this year. That was easy! Most of us were thankful for the food! But also thankful to be ther together and because we have had some health issuees in the past, we are thankful for our good health! We come from different places, but we all have one thing in common: we all love good food, which is enhanced only by such good company! The two just go together so easily!
Write me and tell me about your wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. What did you do? What are you thankful for?
